The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve is an essential component in your Isuzu 4HK1 engine, responsible for reducing harmful emissions and helping the engine operate efficiently. The Isuzu 4HK1 EGR Valve, OEM 8980352964, recirculates a portion of the exhaust gases back into the combustion chamber, lowering the amount of nitrogen oxide (NOx) produced during combustion. Regular maintenance or replacement of a worn EGR valve is vital to ensure your engine continues to meet emission standards and operates smoothly.

Why Choose the OEM 8980352964 EGR Valve for Your Isuzu 4HK1 Engine?

A properly functioning EGR valve is key to ensuring your engine runs efficiently and in compliance with emission standards. By replacing a worn or faulty valve with the OEM 8980352964, you reduce harmful emissions, prevent engine overheating, and maintain the engine’s longevity. Investing in an OEM part guarantees quality and precision, making it the best choice for keeping your Isuzu 4HK1 engine performing at its best.

For those looking to keep their engines running smoothly while meeting emission requirements, the Isuzu OEM 8980352964 EGR valve is a crucial component to consider.

The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve is an essential component in reducing vehicle emissions by recirculating a portion of exhaust gases back into the engine. However, like any part of your vehicle, the EGR valve can fail over time, leading to performance issues and increased emissions. Understanding the causes of EGR valve failure can help you take preventative steps to ensure your vehicle runs efficiently and meets emissions standards.

  • Carbon Buildup

    • Over time, carbon deposits accumulate on the EGR valve, causing it to clog or stick. This buildup prevents the valve from functioning properly, leading to poor engine performance and reduced fuel efficiency.

  • Valve Stuck Open or Closed

    • An EGR valve can become stuck in an open or closed position. If stuck open, it can allow too much exhaust gas into the engine, causing rough idling, stalling, or hesitation. If stuck closed, emissions increase due to improper exhaust gas recirculation.

  • Faulty EGR Solenoid or Sensor Issues

    • The EGR valve is controlled electronically or through a solenoid. If the solenoid or associated sensors fail, the EGR valve may receive incorrect signals, preventing it from opening and closing properly.

  • Electrical Problems

    • Wiring or electrical issues can disrupt the functioning of the EGR valve, leading to malfunction. Faulty electrical connections may cause the valve to stop receiving the proper signals to operate.

  • Vacuum Leaks (Older Models)

    • In older vehicles with vacuum-operated EGR valves, vacuum leaks can prevent the valve from opening or closing, leading to increased emissions and decreased engine performance.

EGR valve failure can be caused by carbon buildup, a stuck valve, faulty solenoids or sensors, electrical problems, and vacuum leaks. Regular maintenance, such as cleaning the valve and ensuring proper electrical connections, can help extend the life of your EGR valve and keep your engine running smoothly. Addressing EGR valve issues early can help prevent more severe engine problems and ensure your vehicle continues to meet emissions standards. If you notice any symptoms of EGR valve failure, such as rough idling or increased emissions, have your valve inspected by a professional mechanic.

It regulates the flow of exhaust gases back into the intake to help lower combustion temperatures and reduce NOx emissions.

Yes, if stuck open or closed, it can disrupt air-fuel ratios and reduce engine efficiency.

Basic hand tools are usually sufficient, but access may require removing intake components or brackets.

Yes, a scan tool can perform functional EGR tests to verify opening and closing response.
