The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.
Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.
Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".
If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.
As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.
What is a Core Charge?
A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.
30 Day Core Charge Hold
You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.
"This Product Doesn't Have a Core"
Created to protect the DEF system from contamination, the OEM ASP-908-1378-01-K DEF Suction Filter ensures clean fluid supply to downstream components. This filter captures impurities before they enter the pump or dosing module, helping maintain steady system function and reduce the risk of blockage. Its OEM-grade construction provides accurate fitment, reliable filtration performance, and durability in demanding operating environments. When symptoms such as restricted flow, DEF system warnings, or visible contamination appear, this filter offers a trustworthy replacement option. Built with quality materials and precise engineering, it supports consistent DEF system reliability across all compatible applications.

The DEF Suction Filter (OEM ASP-908-1378-01-K) is a key component in the Diesel Exhaust Fluid delivery system found in many modern diesel engines. Its main role is to filter DEF before it enters the pump and downstream components, ensuring that only clean, contaminant-free fluid reaches the SCR aftertreatment system.
What the Filter Does
As DEF is drawn out of the tank, the suction filter captures impurities such as crystallized deposits, debris, or tank residue. Even small amounts of contamination can disrupt DEF pumps, clog injectors, or cause inaccurate DEF dosing. By removing these particles early, the filter protects the entire DEF circuit.
Why This Filter Is Important
- Protects the DEF pump from wear caused by debris
- Prevents injector blockage that can lead to poor dosing
- Supports accurate emissions control by ensuring clean fluid supply
- Extends the life of the DEF system by reducing contamination-related failures
- Helps avoid derates and fault codes caused by restricted DEF flow
The DEF Suction Filter (OEM ASP-908-1378-01-K) may be a small, inexpensive part, but it plays a major role in keeping your emissions system healthy. By filtering DEF at the source, it helps maintain consistent SCR performance, prevents costly breakdowns, and ensures your engine stays compliant and reliable.
The DEF Suction Filter (OEM ASP-908-1378-01-K) plays an essential role in protecting the Diesel Exhaust Fluid system from contamination. Positioned within the DEF supply module, it prevents dirt, crystallized DEF, and other debris from entering the pump and sensors. Keeping this filter clean and functional is vital for maintaining reliable DEF flow and avoiding unexpected system faults.
Over time, DEF can crystallize or become contaminated due to improper storage, low-quality fluid, or tank exposure to moisture. When the suction filter becomes restricted, it can limit DEF supply and trigger warning lights or reduced engine function.
Common signs of a clogged or failing DEF suction filter include:
-
Slow or inconsistent DEF flow to the pump
-
Frequent DEF system warnings
-
Crystallized buildup in or around the filter housing
-
Fault codes related to DEF pressure or supply
-
Unexpected derate due to restricted dosing
Inspecting and replacing the DEF Suction Filter regularly helps protect the entire emissions system. A clean filter ensures stable dosing, supports accurate sensor readings, and minimizes the risk of downtime.
If you suspect restriction or contamination, replacing the ASP-908-1378-01-K filter promptly is the most reliable way to restore proper DEF flow.
You may see reduced dosing pressure, failed regens, or DEF-flow-related fault codes.
By trapping impurities early, it ensures only clean DEF reaches the doser and catalyst.
It should be checked during DEF system maintenance or when flow restrictions are detected.
Yes, contaminated or improperly stored DEF can introduce crystals and particles that accumulate in the filter media.
