SHIPPING POLICY

Tamerx Diesel Products ships via UPS Ground. Next day air shipping can be arranged for a reasonable price of anywhere from $50.00 - $100.00 depending on the weight of the product and your location. We will do everything we can to make sure that you get the service you need. We understand how important it is to receive your order as quickly as possible.
In most cases Tamerx Diesel Products only needs one address, as long as your product is shipping to the same location as your billing information. In order to eliminate credit card fraud, your billing information must match the credit card you provide.

The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.

As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

Accurate pressure sensing is vital for the safe and efficient operation of diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment — and the Caterpillar Sensor GP-PR (OEM 1946725) is engineered to deliver the precise readings these systems require. When fitted correctly, this sensor provides essential pressure data to the control unit, helping ensure fluid or air systems operate within safe, optimal parameters. Choosing the right OEM sensor is key to consistent performance and long-term equipment reliability.

This pressure sensor plays a critical role in overall system health — here’s why it’s important:

  • Precise Pressure Feedback – Continuously monitors system pressures (fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid, air, etc.) and sends accurate data to the control system for proper regulation.

  • Maintains Operational Safety and Stability – Reliable pressure data helps prevent over-pressure or under-pressure situations that could cause damage or unsafe operating conditions.

  • OEM-Grade Fit and Durability – As OEM 1946725, this sensor meets original manufacturer specifications, ensuring proper fitment and dependable performance under heavy-duty conditions.

  • Reduces False Alarms and Error Codes – A properly functioning sensor helps avoid erroneous diagnostics, false warnings, or pressure-related fault codes, simplifying maintenance and repair.

  • Versatile Use Across Systems – Because it’s a general-purpose pressure sensor, it can be employed in various systems — from hydraulic and fuel circuits to air or oil pathways, depending on application.

Replacing a worn or faulty pressure sensor is essential for maintaining reliable and safe operation of diesel engines and machinery. The Caterpillar Sensor GP-PR (OEM 1946725) offers accurate pressure monitoring and OEM-grade quality — supporting smooth, efficient, and secure operation. For those seeking dependable replacement parts, Tamerx provides trusted components designed for long-term performance and equipment longevity.

A Sensor Pressure is essential for monitoring system pressure and sending accurate data to the engine control module (ECM). While these sensors are designed to withstand demanding operating conditions, certain factors can cause them to fail earlier than expected. Understanding the causes of premature Sensor Pressure failure can help prevent costly repairs and maintain reliable system performance.

Common Causes of Premature Sensor Pressure Failure

  • Exposure to Contaminants
Dirt, debris, oil, or coolant can enter the sensor housing or connector, damaging the internal components and affecting signal accuracy.

  • Electrical Issues
Corroded connectors, damaged wiring, or voltage irregularities can cause intermittent signals or complete failure.

  • Excessive Heat or Cold
Extreme temperatures can stress the sensor’s internal electronics, leading to weakened components and shortened lifespan.

  • Moisture Intrusion
Water from rain, humidity, or washing can seep into poorly sealed connectors, causing corrosion or short circuits.

  • Overpressure Conditions
Sustained pressure beyond the sensor’s rated limit can damage the sensing element and cause inaccurate readings or total failure.

  • Vibration and Mechanical Stress
Vehicles or equipment that operate under high vibration may weaken sensor mounts or internal structures over time.

Premature Sensor Pressure failure is often preventable through proper maintenance and environmental awareness. Keeping connectors clean, avoiding extreme conditions, and ensuring the system stays within operating limits all help extend the sensor’s life. Proactive care ensures accurate readings and reliable performance from your Sensor Pressure.

The control system may receive incorrect pressure readings — which can cause improper engine behavior, potential damage, or trigger engine derate/safety shutdowns.

Replacement is usually straightforward: remove the old sensor, clean the port, install the new sensor, and reconnect wiring. Basic mechanical skill is generally enough.

Yes — after replacement, clearing fault codes and letting the engine control unit relearn sensor data ensures correct readings and prevents persistent warning codes.

Yes — damaged wires, corroded connectors, or poor grounding may cause erroneous or no signal, even if the sensor itself is fine.
