We will do everything we can to make sure that you get the service you need. We understand how important it is to receive your order as quickly as possible.
In most cases Tamerx Diesel Products only needs one address, as long as your product is shipping to the same location as your billing information. In order to eliminate credit card fraud, your billing information must match the credit card you provide.

The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.

As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The Dodge Ram Cummins 5.9L Turbo Assembly (OEM 3800799RX) plays a crucial role in enhancing engine efficiency by optimizing the airflow into the engine. Designed specifically for Dodge Ram trucks from 2000 to 2002, this turbocharger boosts the engine's power by compressing air, improving fuel combustion. In this blog, we’ll focus on the importance of the turbo assembly and provide tips for maintaining it to ensure long-term engine performance.

Key Functions of the Dodge Ram Cummins 5.9L Turbo Assembly:

  • Increases Airflow
    • The turbocharger compresses incoming air, allowing more oxygen to reach the combustion chamber, resulting in better fuel combustion.
  • OEM Quality
    • As an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part, the 3800799RX turbo assembly meets the highest standards of quality and compatibility, ensuring long-lasting performance for Dodge Ram Cummins 5.9L engines.
  • Fuel Efficiency
    • By improving the air-to-fuel ratio, the turbo helps reduce fuel consumption while enhancing the engine’s overall efficiency.

Maintenance Tips for the Turbo Assembly:

  • Regular Inspections
    • Periodically inspect the turbo for oil leaks, wear, or any unusual noises such as whistling or grinding, which may indicate potential issues.
  • Keep Air Filters Clean
    • Ensure the air filters are clean to prevent dust and debris from entering the turbo, which could damage the turbo’s moving parts.
  • Monitor Oil Quality
    • The turbo relies on proper lubrication. Make sure to use high-quality engine oil and change it regularly to avoid buildup that could reduce the turbo’s performance.
  • Allow Proper Cooling
    • After a long drive, let the engine idle for a few minutes to allow the turbo to cool down, preventing heat damage to the components.

The Dodge Ram Cummins 5.9L Turbo Assembly (OEM 3800799RX) is essential for maintaining optimal airflow and improving fuel efficiency in your engine. Regular maintenance, such as inspecting for leaks, keeping filters clean, and monitoring oil quality, will help prolong the life of your turbocharger. A turbo assembly is crucial for enhancing your vehicle's performance, improving fuel efficiency, and boosting power. However, when the turbo begins to fail, you may notice a decline in performance. The question is, can you continue driving with a faulty turbo assembly? While it may be possible, it’s not recommended due to the potential for further engine damage and safety concerns.

Risks of Driving with a Faulty Turbo Assembly

  • Reduced Engine Power

    • A faulty turbo can result in a significant loss of engine power, making acceleration sluggish and reducing overall performance.

  • Increased Exhaust Smoke

    • A damaged turbo may cause excessive exhaust smoke, often due to leaking oil. This can be harmful to the environment and may fail emissions tests.

  • Poor Fuel Economy

    • Without a functioning turbo, your engine will work harder, leading to decreased fuel efficiency and higher operating costs.

  • Potential Engine Damage

    • Continuing to drive with a bad turbo can cause additional strain on your engine, leading to more severe and expensive repairs.

  • Loud Whining Noises

    • A failing turbo often produces loud, high-pitched noises, which are signs of impending failure that shouldn’t be ignored.

While you might be able to drive with a faulty turbo assembly, doing so can result in greater damage to your engine, decreased fuel efficiency, and potential safety hazards. It’s always best to address turbo issues as soon as possible to maintain optimal vehicle performance and avoid more costly repairs in the future. If you suspect your turbo is failing, it's advisable to have it inspected and replaced by a professional mechanic.
