We will do everything we can to make sure that you get the service you need. We understand how important it is to receive your order as quickly as possible.
In most cases Tamerx Diesel Products only needs one address, as long as your product is shipping to the same location as your billing information. In order to eliminate credit card fraud, your billing information must match the credit card you provide.

The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.

As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The Dodge Ram Cummins 5.9L Turbo Assembly (OEM 3800799RX) is a key component in optimizing airflow to the engine. Designed for 2000-2002 Cummins diesel engines, this turbocharger helps boost engine performance by increasing the amount of compressed air entering the combustion chamber, allowing for better fuel combustion and improved efficiency. In this blog, we’ll explore the role of the turbo assembly and provide tips for maintaining it to ensure long-lasting performance.

Key Functions of the Dodge Ram Cummins 5.9L Turbo Assembly:

  • Increased Airflow
    •  The turbocharger compresses air and directs it into the engine, improving air-to-fuel ratios and enabling better combustion.
  • OEM Quality
    • As a genuine part (OEM 3800799RX), this turbo assembly meets high standards for durability and compatibility with Dodge Ram Cummins 5.9L engines from 2000 to 2002.
  • Fuel Efficiency
    • With optimized airflow, the turbo helps the engine burn fuel more efficiently, contributing to reduced emissions and better fuel economy.

Maintenance Tips for the Turbo Assembly:

  • Check for Oil Leaks
    •  Regularly inspect the turbo for signs of oil leaks, which can damage the turbo and reduce engine efficiency. Address any leaks early to prevent major issues.
  • Clean Air Filters
    • A clean air filter helps keep debris from entering the turbo, ensuring it operates smoothly and without obstruction.
  • Monitor for Unusual Noises
    •  Pay attention to any unusual whistling or grinding noises, as they may indicate a malfunction in the turbo that needs to be addressed.
  • Allow Cool-Down Time
    • After driving, allow the engine to idle for a few minutes before shutting it off. This helps the turbo cool down gradually and prevents damage from overheating.

The Dodge Ram Cummins 5.9L Turbo Assembly (OEM 3800799RX) is essential for boosting airflow and enhancing fuel efficiency in your diesel engine. Regular maintenance, such as inspecting for leaks, cleaning air filters, and monitoring for unusual sounds, will help extend the life of the turbo and keep your engine running efficiently. For high-quality OEM parts, trust TamerX Diesel Parts to keep your Dodge Ram Cummins engine in top shape.

The turbo assembly plays a critical role in boosting your engine’s performance by increasing the air intake, resulting in more power and efficiency. However, like any engine component, it can wear out or fail over time. Knowing the signs of a bad turbo assembly can help you prevent further engine damage and costly repairs.

  • Loss of Power

    • One of the first signs of a failing turbo is a noticeable decrease in engine power. Your vehicle may feel sluggish during acceleration or struggle to maintain speed, especially when going uphill.

  • Excessive Exhaust Smoke

    •  A damaged turbo can cause oil to leak into the exhaust, leading to thick, blue or grey smoke coming from the exhaust system. This is particularly noticeable during acceleration.

  • Whining Noise

    • A bad turbo often emits a high-pitched whining or whistling noise when the vehicle is accelerating. This noise is typically caused by damaged bearings or worn turbo blades.

  • Increased Oil Consumption

    •  A malfunctioning turbo may cause oil leaks, leading to increased oil consumption. If you’re frequently topping off oil levels, it could be due to a failing turbo.

  • Check Engine Light

    • If the engine control unit (ECU) detects issues with the turbo, such as low boost pressure, it may trigger the check engine light. A diagnostic scan can confirm if the turbo is the source of the problem.

If you notice a loss of power, excessive exhaust smoke, or a whining noise when accelerating, your turbo assembly may be failing. Ignoring these signs can lead to further engine damage and more expensive repairs. If you suspect your turbo is bad, it’s important to have it inspected and repaired promptly to keep your vehicle running efficiently and prevent additional problems.

Bearing wear due to poor oil flow is the most common cause of failure in this turbocharger.

Yes, it works with most aftermarket and OEM air intake systems without modification.

Signs of internal failure include excessive shaft play, oil in the intake, or whistling and grinding noises.
