The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.

As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The Cummins ISB 6.7L / MX13 DPF/SCR Clamp Kit (OEM 5633336) is an essential hardware set designed to secure connections within the exhaust aftertreatment system. Used in 2013–2017 applications, this kit ensures that major components like the DPF and SCR units remain tightly joined and properly aligned.

Although often overlooked, clamp kits play a major role in maintaining a sealed and stable exhaust system, especially under high heat and constant vibration.

Here are the key functions of this clamp kit:

  • Secures DPF and SCR components together
    • The clamps hold major aftertreatment units firmly in place, preventing separation or shifting during operation.
  • Creates a tight seal at connection points
    • By applying even pressure, the clamps help prevent exhaust leaks between joined components, which is critical for proper system function.
  • Maintains correct alignment of exhaust sections
    • Proper positioning ensures smooth exhaust flow and reduces stress on adjoining parts.
  • Handles extreme temperature conditions
    • Built for high-heat environments, the clamps maintain their strength and structure through repeated heating and cooling cycles.
  • Allows for efficient servicing and replacement
    • The kit design enables easier removal and reinstallation when accessing or replacing exhaust components.
  • Reduces vibration-related movement
    • By keeping connections tight, the clamps help minimize wear caused by constant engine vibration.

In summary, the Cummins 5633336 clamp kit functions as a critical fastening solution that keeps the aftertreatment system sealed, stable, and operating as intended.

A failing DPF/SCR clamp kit can lead to exhaust leaks, loose connections, and reduced system efficiency. Because these clamps secure critical emissions components, addressing the issue quickly is important to prevent further damage.

The first step is to determine whether the problem is due to wear, improper installation, or external stress like heat and vibration. Once identified, you can take the right corrective action.

Here are the steps you should take:

  • Inspect the clamps for visible damage
    • Look for cracks, warping, or signs of fatigue. Damaged clamps won’t hold proper tension and should be replaced immediately.
  • Check for loose or misaligned connections
    • Ensure the DPF and SCR components are properly aligned. Misalignment can cause uneven pressure and lead to premature clamp failure.
  • Verify proper tightening
    • Clamps that are too loose can allow movement, while over-tightening can deform them. Make sure they are secured to the correct specification.
  • Look for exhaust leaks
    • Soot marks, unusual noise, or visible fumes around connection points may indicate the clamp is no longer sealing effectively.
  • Clean contact surfaces
    • Remove any debris, rust, or buildup between connected components to ensure a proper seal when reinstalling or replacing clamps.

If the clamp kit continues to fail after adjustments, replacement is typically the best solution. Addressing the issue early helps maintain a secure exhaust system and prevents further complications.

This kit typically includes multiple V-band clamps and matching exhaust gaskets, providing the necessary hardware to properly seal connections within the DPF and SCR sections of the exhaust system.

The clamp kit secures exhaust aftertreatment components together, ensuring a tight seal between the diesel particulate filter and SCR system to prevent leaks and maintain proper exhaust flow.

It is used at connection points between the DPF and SCR assemblies, typically in the exhaust aftertreatment section located downstream of the engine.

By maintaining sealed connections, it ensures exhaust gases flow correctly through emissions components, allowing the system to function as intended without interruptions or leaks.
