SHIPPING POLICY

Tamerx Diesel Products ships via UPS Ground. Next day air shipping can be arranged for a reasonable price of anywhere from $50.00 - $100.00 depending on the weight of the product and your location. We will do everything we can to make sure that you get the service you need. We understand how important it is to receive your order as quickly as possible.
In most cases Tamerx Diesel Products only needs one address, as long as your product is shipping to the same location as your billing information. In order to eliminate credit card fraud, your billing information must match the credit card you provide.

The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.

As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The performance and longevity of a diesel engine depend heavily on accurate environmental and system monitoring — and for ISX15 engines from 2010 through 2018, the Cummins ISX15 Sensor PRS Temperature (OEM 4921479) plays a crucial role. Designed to provide precise temperature readings, this sensor helps the engine control system adjust fuel delivery, combustion timing, coolant regulation, and emissions management under varying loads and conditions. Installing the correct OEM sensor ensures your engine operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.

This temperature sensor offers several important benefits for engine operation:

  • Accurate Temperature Readings – Monitors vital temperature parameters (coolant, ambient, or system-specific) and sends precise data to the control unit for necessary adjustments.

  • Protects Engine Components from Heat Damage – Reliable temperature feedback helps prevent overheating, minimizing risk of thermal stress or damage to internal engine parts.

  • Optimizes Combustion and Fuel Efficiency – With correct temperature input, the engine can fine-tune fuel injection and timing, improving combustion efficiency and reducing fuel consumption.

  • OEM-Grade Fit and Durability – As OEM 4921479, this sensor meets original manufacturer specifications, ensuring correct installation, dependable performance, and long-term service under tough conditions.

  • Reduces Risk of Faults and Misdiagnosis – A properly functioning sensor helps avoid false temperature warnings or erratic error codes, simplifying diagnostics and maintenance.

Replacing an old or faulty temperature sensor is essential for sustaining the health and performance of your diesel engine. The Cummins ISX15 Sensor PRS Temperature (OEM 4921479) delivers the precision and OEM-standard build quality necessary for proper temperature management, component protection, and efficient engine operation. For customers seeking a dependable, high-quality replacement, Tamerx offers this sensor as a trusted solution to keep your engine running smoothly and reliably.

The Sensor PRS Temperature plays a crucial role in providing accurate temperature data to the engine control module (ECM). This information helps the ECM determine fuel delivery, ignition timing, and cold-start enrichment. When the sensor provides incorrect readings, the engine may not receive the proper adjustments needed for starting—especially in cold or fluctuating temperature conditions.

How a Bad Sensor PRS Temperature Can Cause Starting Problems

  • Incorrect Fuel Mixture During Start-Up
Faulty temperature data may cause the ECM to inject too much or too little fuel, leading to rough starts or failure to start.

  • Improper Cold-Start Enrichment
During cold conditions, the ECM relies on accurate temperature readings to enrich the mixture. A bad sensor may prevent the engine from starting at all.

  • Delayed Ignition Timing
Incorrect temperature values can cause improper timing adjustments, resulting in slow cranking or extended start-up times.

  • Hard-Start When Warm
If the sensor reports incorrect high temperatures, the ECM may lean out the mixture too much, causing hard-starts after the engine is warm.

  • Triggered Warning Lights or Fault Codes
A failing temperature sensor may generate engine fault codes that signal temperature-related issues affecting starting performance.

  • Engine Flooding
Over-fueling caused by false low-temperature readings can flood the engine, preventing it from starting.

Yes— a bad Sensor PRS Temperature can cause no-start or hard-start conditions. Because accurate temperature data is essential for proper fuel and timing adjustments, even slight sensor faults can disrupt the starting process. If you notice repeated hard-starts, rough ignition, or temperature-related fault codes, it’s important to test and replace the sensor promptly to restore reliable engine operation.

The engine control unit may get incorrect or no data, which can lead to warning codes, engine derate or shutdown, overheating, or incorrect fuel/air mapping.

Possible signs: erratic temperature or pressure readings, warning lights, overheating alerts, loss of power, poor fuel economy, or unusual engine behavior.

The swap is generally straightforward — remove the old sensor carefully, install the new one, reconnect wiring, and ensure proper sealing. Moderate mechanical skill is usually enough.

Yes — it’s recommended to clear any stored fault codes and allow the engine’s control system to re-initialize using the new sensor data for accurate readings.
