SHIPPING POLICY

Tamerx Diesel Products ships via UPS Ground. Next day air shipping can be arranged for a reasonable price of anywhere from $50.00 - $100.00 depending on the weight of the product and your location. We will do everything we can to make sure that you get the service you need. We understand how important it is to receive your order as quickly as possible.
In most cases Tamerx Diesel Products only needs one address, as long as your product is shipping to the same location as your billing information. In order to eliminate credit card fraud, your billing information must match the credit card you provide.

The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.

As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The engine management of modern diesel engines relies heavily on accurate temperature readings, and the Cummins ISB 6.7L Temperature Sensor (OEM 4384259) plays a key role in delivering that data. By providing precise temperature measurements for engines in the ISB 6.7L family, this sensor helps ensure proper fuel delivery, combustion control, cooling regulation, and emissions management. For anyone maintaining or servicing a Cummins ISB engine, installing the correct OEM sensor is essential to maintain reliability and optimal performance.

This temperature sensor brings several important benefits to engine operation:

  • Precise Temperature Monitoring – Continuously measures engine or coolant temperature and sends correct data to the engine control unit for necessary adjustments.

  • Protects Engine Components from Overheating – By monitoring temperature accurately, the sensor helps prevent overheating and reduces risk of heat-related wear or damage to internal engine parts.

  • Supports Efficient Combustion and Emissions Control – With correct temperature input, the engine management system can optimize fuel delivery, timing, and emissions controls under different operating conditions.

  • OEM-Grade Build and Compatibility – As OEM 4384259, this sensor meets original manufacturer specifications, ensuring proper fitment, reliable performance, and durability under demanding conditions.

  • Reduces Risk of Sensor-Related Faults or Misdiagnosis – A well-functioning temperature sensor helps avoid false warnings, erroneous error codes, or unnecessary diagnostic procedures.

Replacing an old or malfunctioning temperature sensor is a smart step toward ensuring the longevity, efficiency, and stability of your diesel engine. The Cummins ISB 6.7L Temperature Sensor (OEM 4384259) delivers the accuracy and OEM-quality reliability needed to keep engine temperature in check, safeguard components, and support optimal performance. For customers who want dependable, long-lasting results, Tamerx offers this OEM-spec sensor as a trusted solution for maintaining strong, efficient, and reliable engine operation.

The Sensor Temperature relies on clean, stable electrical signals to send accurate data to the engine control module (ECM). If the wiring or connector becomes damaged, corroded, or loose, the sensor can no longer communicate properly. This can lead to incorrect readings, performance issues, and even overheating risks. Understanding what happens when wiring or connectors fail helps prevent major engine problems.

Effects of Damaged Sensor Temperature Wiring or Connectors

  • Erratic or Incorrect Temperature Readings
A broken or corroded wire can cause fluctuating or unrealistic temperature values, confusing the ECM.

  • Cooling Fan Malfunctions
Without accurate temperature data, cooling fans may turn on too late or not at all, increasing the risk of overheating.

  • Poor Engine Performance
Incorrect sensor signals can cause the ECM to adjust timing or fuel mixture improperly, leading to rough idling, power loss, or stalling.

  • Triggered Warning Lights
The dashboard may display a check engine light or temperature alert due to disrupted communication with the sensor.

  • Overheating and Potential Engine Damage
If cooling responses are delayed or disabled, overheating can occur—possibly causing gasket failure, warped components, or long-term engine wear.

  • Hard Starting or No-Start Conditions
Some engines rely on accurate temperature data for cold-start enrichment; damaged wiring can prevent proper start-up.

Damaged wiring or connectors can make a fully functional Sensor Temperature behave as if it’s failing. This can lead to inaccurate readings, poor performance, and serious overheating risks. Regular inspections, cleaning, and timely repairs of electrical connections help ensure the sensor communicates correctly and keeps the engine protected.

Yes — incorrect temperature data may lead to improper fuel injection or timing adjustments, which can reduce fuel efficiency.

It’s risky — without proper temperature monitoring, the engine could overheat or run inefficiently, potentially causing serious damage.

Yes — exposure to extreme heat, vibration, or contaminants can degrade sensor performance over time, increasing the chance of failure.

.Yes — it’s advisable to inspect coolant level, cooling system components, hoses, and connections to ensure no leaks or underlying issues that affect temperature readings.
