SHIPPING POLICY

Tamerx Diesel Products ships via UPS Ground. Next day air shipping can be arranged for a reasonable price of anywhere from $50.00 - $100.00 depending on the weight of the product and your location. We will do everything we can to make sure that you get the service you need. We understand how important it is to receive your order as quickly as possible.
In most cases Tamerx Diesel Products only needs one address, as long as your product is shipping to the same location as your billing information. In order to eliminate credit card fraud, your billing information must match the credit card you provide.

The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.

As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

"This Product Doesn't Have a Core"

Designed to deliver accurate nitrogen oxide monitoring in heavy-duty diesel applications, the Cummins ISX15 NOx Sensor (2010–2013) OEM 5462439 plays an essential role in maintaining proper exhaust aftertreatment system operation. Manufactured according to original equipment specifications, this sensor is intended for proper fitment with applicable Cummins ISX15 engines within the specified model years. It measures nitrogen oxide (NOx) concentrations in the exhaust stream and communicates critical readings to the engine control system, helping support selective catalytic reduction (SCR) operation, accurate emissions monitoring, and proper exhaust treatment. Its durable construction is designed to withstand elevated exhaust temperatures, vibration, moisture exposure, and demanding operating conditions commonly encountered in commercial trucks and heavy-duty diesel equipment. Suitable for fleet operators, maintenance technicians, and professional diesel repair facilities, this OEM NOx sensor provides a dependable replacement solution for restoring accurate exhaust gas measurements, maintaining proper emissions system functionality, and supporting reliable long-term engine operation.

The Cummins ISX15 NOx Sensor OEM 5462439 is an important component of the diesel exhaust aftertreatment system. Listed for compatible Cummins ISX15 diesel engines from 2010–2013, this sensor measures nitrogen oxide (NOx) concentrations in exhaust gases, supporting accurate emission monitoring and reliable engine operation.

Key Functions of the Cummins ISX15 NOx Sensor

The Cummins ISX15 NOx Sensor performs several essential functions within the diesel exhaust system:

  • NOx Monitoring
    • Measures nitrogen oxide concentrations in diesel exhaust gases.
  • Emission Control
    • Provides data used to manage harmful exhaust emissions.
  • SCR System Support
    • Helps monitor Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system effectiveness.
  • ECM Communication
    • Sends exhaust emission information to the engine control module.
  • Engine Diagnostics
    • Helps identify abnormal NOx readings and exhaust aftertreatment issues.

Why Is OEM 5462439 Important?

The Cummins ISX15 NOx Sensor 2010–2013 is identified by OEM part number 5462439 for listed diesel engine applications.

A faulty NOx sensor may cause inaccurate emission readings, diagnostic trouble codes, warning lights, or exhaust aftertreatment problems.

Replacing a defective Cummins ISX15 NOx sensor helps restore accurate exhaust monitoring and proper emission control.

Always verify your engine serial number, sensor location, and OEM compatibility before purchasing a replacement.

A NOx Sensor is an important component of your diesel vehicle's exhaust aftertreatment system. It monitors nitrogen oxide emissions and helps the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system operate correctly. Knowing when to replace your NOx Sensor can help prevent costly repairs and emissions-related problems.

Common Signs Your NOx Sensor Needs Replacement

A failing diesel NOx Sensor can cause several warning signs. Watch for these symptoms:

  • Check Engine Light
    • Faulty sensor readings may trigger dashboard warnings.
  • SCR System Alerts
    • Incorrect measurements can cause emissions system notifications.
  • Increased NOx Emissions
    • Sensor malfunctions may interfere with emissions control.
  • Reduced Engine Output
    • Certain faults can trigger operating restrictions.
  • Diagnostic Trouble Codes
    • Stored codes may indicate sensor communication problems.
  • DEF Consumption Changes
    • Incorrect readings may affect Diesel Exhaust Fluid dosing.

How Often Should You Replace a NOx Sensor?

A diesel NOx Sensor generally has no fixed replacement schedule. Its lifespan depends on driving conditions, exhaust temperatures, and overall vehicle maintenance.

When Is NOx Sensor Replacement Necessary?

If you notice these symptoms, schedule a diesel exhaust system inspection. A qualified technician can test sensor readings, wiring, and related components.

Replace your NOx Sensor when diagnostics confirm failure. Timely replacement helps maintain SCR system reliability, reduce harmful emissions, and prevent unnecessary repair expenses.

Yes, excessive soot and exhaust deposits can contaminate the sensing area and interfere with accurate nitrogen oxide measurements.

Yes, damaged conductors, loose terminals, or corroded electrical connections can interrupt sensor communication and produce unreliable readings.

Yes, exhaust leaks near the sensor's measurement location can alter exhaust gas conditions and contribute to inaccurate NOx readings.

OEM 5462439 should not be considered interchangeable with other ISX15 NOx sensors unless Cummins confirms compatibility or an approved part-number supersession.
