The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.
Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.
Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".
If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.
As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.
What is a Core Charge?
A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.
30 Day Core Charge Hold
You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.
"This Product Doesn't Have a Core"
Serving an important role in the final stages of exhaust treatment, the Cummins ISB 6.7L SCR Outlet Catalyst Module (2014–2018) OEM 4377019 helps maintain proper emissions system operation. Manufactured to original equipment specifications, it provides accurate compatibility with Cummins ISB 6.7L engines across the specified model years. This SCR outlet catalyst module processes exhaust gases within the selective catalytic reduction system, helping reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions before they leave the exhaust. Its durable construction is designed to handle elevated exhaust temperatures and the demanding conditions associated with heavy-duty diesel applications. Suitable for fleet maintenance, professional repair, and replacement needs, this OEM component helps support consistent aftertreatment functionality and dependable long-term service.

The Cummins ISB 6.7L SCR Outlet Catalyst Module (OEM 4377019) is an exhaust aftertreatment component used with compatible Cummins ISB 6.7L applications. Cummins identifies 4377019 as an aftertreatment SCR catalyst, and it superseded an earlier three-bung catalyst design, part number 5310493.
Its primary job is to support the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) process, which reduces nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions before treated exhaust leaves the vehicle.
What Does the Cummins 4377019 SCR Catalyst Do?
- Reduces NOx emissions
- The catalyst provides the surface where chemical reactions convert harmful nitrogen oxides into less harmful substances.
- Works with Diesel Exhaust Fluid
- DEF introduced upstream ultimately provides ammonia for the SCR reaction, allowing the catalyst to reduce NOx effectively.
- Handles a key stage of exhaust treatment
- After upstream components have treated soot and other pollutants, the SCR catalyst focuses primarily on controlling NOx.
- Works with aftertreatment sensors
- Temperature and emissions sensors help the engine control system monitor conditions and determine whether the aftertreatment system is functioning correctly.
- Supports cleaner engine operation
- Effective SCR performance allows the engine and aftertreatment system to work together to meet applicable emissions requirements.
- Helps prevent emissions-related problems
- A damaged, contaminated, or inefficient SCR catalyst can contribute to efficiency fault codes, warning lights, or engine derates.
The Cummins ISB 6.7L SCR Outlet Catalyst Module (OEM 4377019) is an important part of the overall emissions-control strategy. By providing the catalyst needed for NOx reduction, it helps turn treated exhaust into cleaner tailpipe emissions while supporting reliable operation of the complete aftertreatment system. Cummins documentation specifically lists 4377019 as the replacement SCR catalyst for the earlier 5310493 design.
If your SCR Outlet Catalyst Module is bad, it’s important to diagnose and address the problem promptly. A damaged or inefficient catalyst can prevent the SCR system from properly reducing nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions and may eventually trigger warning lights, fault codes, or an engine derate.
Before replacing the module, make sure another aftertreatment component isn’t responsible for the problem.
Here are the steps you should take:
- Check diagnostic trouble codes
- Scan the vehicle or equipment for SCR efficiency, NOx, DEF dosing, and temperature-related fault codes. These can help identify the actual source of the problem.
- Inspect the NOx sensors
- Incorrect readings from an upstream or downstream NOx sensor can make a properly functioning catalyst appear faulty.
- Check the DEF system
- Make sure the DEF is clean and uncontaminated and that the dosing system is operating correctly. Improper DEF dosing can reduce SCR efficiency and damage the catalyst over time.
- Inspect for exhaust leaks
- Leaks around the SCR system can interfere with sensor readings and cause catalyst-efficiency faults.
- Look for contamination or physical damage
- Oil, coolant, excessive soot, DEF deposits, overheating, or a cracked catalyst substrate can permanently damage the module.
- Avoid prolonged operation with active faults
- Continuing to operate with a serious SCR problem can result in reduced-power or derate conditions and may contribute to additional aftertreatment problems.
- Replace the module when failure is confirmed
- If testing confirms that the catalyst substrate is cracked, melted, contaminated beyond recovery, or no longer converting NOx effectively, replacement is generally the appropriate solution.
Before installing a new SCR Outlet Catalyst Module, correct the root cause of the original failure. Otherwise, problems with the DEF system, engine, sensors, or other aftertreatment components could damage the replacement module and lead to another costly repair.
OEM 4377019 is a two-bung SCR catalyst. Cummins introduced it as a replacement for the older three-bung 5310493 configuration.
As part of the SCR system, the catalyst supports chemical reactions that convert harmful nitrogen oxides into primarily nitrogen and water, using ammonia produced from Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF).
No. An SCR catalyst and a DPF perform different jobs. The DPF traps particulate matter and soot, while the 4377019 SCR catalyst is primarily responsible for catalytic NOx reduction.
Yes. Incorrect DEF dosing, poor DEF quality, injector problems, or inadequate DEF decomposition can reduce NOx conversion efficiency. These issues should be diagnosed before assuming the 4377019 catalyst itself has failed.
