SHIPPING POLICY
Tamerx Diesel Products ships via UPS Ground. Next day air shipping can be arranged for a reasonable price of anywhere from $50.00 - $100.00 depending on the weight of the product and your location. We will do everything we can to make sure that you get the service you need. We understand how important it is to receive your order as quickly as possible.
In most cases Tamerx Diesel Products only needs one address, as long as your product is shipping to the same location as your billing information. In order to eliminate credit card fraud, your billing information must match the credit card you provide.
The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.
Tamerx provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.
Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".
If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.
As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.
What is a Core Charge?
A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.
30 Day Core Charge Hold
You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.
"This Product Doesn't Have a Core"
Built to maintain proper compressed airflow through the engine, the Ford 3.5L EcoBoost Turbo Assembly (2011–2012) OEM CL3Z6K682C is a key component within the turbocharging system. Manufactured according to original equipment specifications, it provides accurate compatibility with applicable Ford 3.5L EcoBoost engines within the specified model years. This turbo assembly uses energy from the exhaust stream to compress incoming air, supporting efficient combustion and consistent engine operation across changing speeds and driving conditions. Its durable construction is designed to tolerate high exhaust temperatures, rapid rotational speeds, vibration, and continuous operating demands. Suitable for vehicle owners, technicians, and professional repair facilities, this OEM turbo assembly helps maintain reliable airflow management and dependable long-term engine operation.

The main function of the Ford 3.5L EcoBoost Turbo Assembly 2011-2012: OEM CL3Z6K682C is to use exhaust gas energy to compress incoming air and deliver pressurized airflow to the engine. This allows the 3.5L EcoBoost engine to receive the amount of air it needs as driving conditions and engine load change.
The turbocharger connects the exhaust and intake sides of the engine, converting energy from flowing exhaust gases into useful intake-air compression.
What Does the Turbo Assembly Do?
- Compresses intake air
- The compressor wheel draws in fresh air, compresses it, and directs it toward the engine.
- Uses exhaust energy
- Exhaust gases spin the turbine wheel, which is connected by a shaft to the compressor wheel.
- Increases available airflow
- Pressurized air provides the engine with more oxygen than it could draw in naturally.
- Supports efficient combustion
- Proper airflow helps maintain suitable air-to-fuel conditions during the combustion process.
- Responds to acceleration and load
- As engine demand changes, the turbo system helps supply the corresponding amount of intake airflow.
- Works with the charge-air system
- Compressed air passes through the intercooler before entering the engine, helping control intake-air temperature.
Turning Exhaust Energy Into Useful Airflow
The Ford 3.5L EcoBoost Turbo Assembly (OEM CL3Z6K682C) essentially converts exhaust energy into compressed intake air. If it begins to fail, drivers may notice slower acceleration, unusual whining or grinding sounds, excessive exhaust smoke, oil leakage, or turbo-related fault codes.
Regular oil changes, clean filters, and timely repairs of intake, lubrication, cooling, or exhaust leaks can help protect the turbo and reduce premature wear.
A failing Turbo Assembly can affect much more than the turbocharger itself. Because the turbo is connected to the engine's intake, exhaust, and lubrication systems, a serious failure can eventually contribute to engine damage if it is ignored.
Here are several ways a bad Turbo Assembly can affect your engine:
- Reduced acceleration
- A damaged turbo may not provide the airflow the engine requires, causing sluggish response during acceleration.
- Incorrect air-to-fuel conditions
- Improper turbo operation can disrupt the amount of air entering the engine, leading to inefficient combustion.
- Increased oil consumption
- Worn turbo seals or bearings may allow engine oil to enter the intake or exhaust system.
- Low engine oil level
- Significant oil loss through the turbo can reduce the amount of lubrication available to critical engine components.
- Excessive exhaust smoke
- Oil leakage or incorrect airflow may produce blue, gray, or black smoke from the exhaust.
- Higher exhaust temperatures
- Poor turbo operation can contribute to abnormal combustion and exhaust temperature conditions.
- Contamination of intake components
- A leaking turbo can introduce excessive oil into intake piping, hoses, and the intercooler.
- Internal engine damage
- In severe cases, fragments from a damaged compressor wheel can enter the intake system and potentially reach the engine.
- Unexpected engine behavior
- Severe turbo oil leakage can create dangerous operating conditions and should be addressed immediately.
A failing Turbo Assembly should be diagnosed early. If you notice heavy smoke, rapid oil loss, grinding noises, damaged turbo blades, or severe acceleration problems, stop operating the vehicle and have it inspected. The oil lines, intake system, exhaust system, and related components should also be checked to determine what caused the turbo failure.
This turbocharger application uses coolant circulation to help manage operating temperatures, making proper coolant connections important during installation.
The removed turbo should be examined for abnormal shaft movement, damaged compressor or turbine blades, oil deposits, housing damage, and signs of foreign-object contact.
A restricted or contaminated oil feed path can limit lubrication to CL3Z6K682C and contribute to premature bearing or shaft damage.
Yes, bent, chipped, or worn compressor blades can disrupt airflow and indicate that debris or another intake-side problem has affected CL3Z6K682C.
